**Job Description
- This position is a Fixed Term Contract role.**

Some of the key responsibilities for this role includes:

- Conduct safety meetings and Risk Assessments.
- Reporting on safety and deviations and record results of all legal examinations.
- Achievement of safe production performance levels through the effective maintenance, installation and commissioning of equipment.
- Manage breakdowns and emergencies as well as Planned Maintenance.
- Supervision of external service providers and internal Engineering Assistants.
- Ensure that material, spares and equipment are available as required and job cards are fully completed.
- Ensure proper and adequate on the job training and coaching is provided to trainee artisans.

This role is in the Engineering Department at a C2 level and reports into the Electrical Foreman.

**Qualifications
- To be successful in this role you will need to have**:

- Grade 12 and Technical Trade Specific N3.
- Electrician Trade Certificate.
- Medium Voltage Certificate will be advantageous.

**To be successful, you will have the following experience**:

- At least 1 to 2 years engineering experience as an Electrician in the mining environment
- Stopping experience will be advantageous.

Additional Information
- Valid drivers license.
- Basic computer literate.
- You will be available to work shifts and overtime if necessary as well as be on standby.
- If successful, you will be required to take a Medical Fitness Test.
