Cold Storage Supervisor

**VACANCY: COLD STORAGE SUPERVISOR**

**Western Cape Fruit Processors** currently requires the services of a Cold Storage Supervisor. Associated Fruit Processors (AFP) and Elgin Fruit Juices (EFJ) amalgamated to form this new entity. The major shareholders of the new company are Coca Cola Beverages SA, Two-a-day (Pty) Ltd. and APSAP. The above-mentioned position currently exists in the Production Department at our AFP site.

**Duties And Responsibilities**
- Receiving, storing, testing, and dispatching items kept in cold storage
- Ensure receiving loads match the receiving documentation & report any deviations
- To use stacking techniques that will prevent damage to product
- Follow-up on customer questions and complaints
- Reviewing work orders to determine forecasts so that you can make plans for peak delivery periods
- Creating working schedules for pickups and deliveries of cold items
- Supervising staff and provide them with relevant training on all aspects of the operation
- Working to develop an efficient cold storage layout to maximize storage space and ease of movement within the facility
- Develop and review standard operating procedures for your area
- Ensure assets are maintained and accounted for at all time
- Enforce compliance to food safety policies and procedures
- To perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by your manager

**Applicants should meet the following requirements**:

- 2-3 years’ experience in warehouse management
- Must have at least 3 years hands-on operational experience in a cold storage environment - **Non negotiable**:

- 2-3 years’ Supervisory experience

- Teamwork skills
- Communication skills
- Computer literacy with general experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

- Grabouw, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Working in a cold storage warehouse: 3 years (required)
