**To provide senior management with consolidated financial information to allow for efficient review of results. Managing the forecasting, budgeting and year end audit process, as well as the compliance to financial policies and procedures. Operational finance management and control of company restaurants.**

**Outputs and **Responsibilities**:
Research & Preparation for Business Plans
- Publish complete and accurate company information & requirements relevant to individual business unit and Brand Business Plans.
- Interpret and interrogate all relevant Brand and business unit specific finance related information and check for accuracy. Arrange distribution of complete, relevant and accurate finance information to all stakeholders in preparation for workshops within the agreed timelines and in the required formats.
- Study & interpret company annual plan, extract relevant financial information for debate and potential inclusion in individual business unit and Brand Business Plans.
- Participate in development and setting of business plan objectives for each business unit in the (Signature Brands) division.
- Participate in development and setting of individual Brand business plan objectives.
- Participate in development of business plan objectives and KPI's for the finance department
- Publish all company information & requirements relevant to brand plans and arrange distribution of accurate finance related information in preparation for brand plan workshops as required

Franchise Agreements
- Review the Royalty schedule on FIS.
- Head leases: Ensure rental is paid on a monthly basis as per the lease agreement
- Company Store: Ensure rental is paid on a monthly basis as per the lease agreement
- Ensure turnover rental has been provided for as per the lease agreement and system wide sales report
- Lease Month: Calculate the lease smoothing value as per the lease agreement lease term
- Ensure all required financial restaurant information is accurate recorded and accessible to relevant stakeholders
- Ensure compliance to company requirements and legislation as relevant to financial management, identify and manage or escalate potential risk as appropriate
- Execute required legal tasks and report on same as directed. Resolve queries or escalate appropriately

Budgets
- Publish company requirements and timelines as directed. Distribution of finance related information for all parties in preparation for budgets. Check accuracy of presentations
- Drive budgeting and forecasting process to achieve targets and within deadline dates
- Attend presentation of all individual budgets as directed
- Ensure budgets are loaded onto Sage
- Agree IDU income statements with SEI (SAGE) income statement and follow up on discrepancies

Accounting
- Check, analyse, signoff and monitor execution of financial process, procedures, and information. Identify risks and propose appropriate solutions. Resolve queries and Keep respective stakeholders abreast of relevant information.
- Review cash flows for all businesses proactively.
- Analyse cost related to first auto and follow up with Ops managers
- Sign off bank recons
- Ensure that all journals are processed
- Ensure that all dashboards processed
- Ensure that all the brand sweeping has been processed
- Review the general ledger
- Review the packs and commentary and provide provisional ratings
- Meet with ME to complete ratings on packs and finalisation of the pack. Publish the pack and saved it for shared folder for review
- Compile the consolidated pack and provide insight commentary
- CONS - check that cons are processed
- Ensure No POs must be sent to DHQ directly without following the process
- Check and sign off accurate information to all stakeholders.Attend financial and debtors reviews, agree and ensure execution of all resultant action plans
- Ensure that vouchering process is executed Resolve queries or escalate appropriately. Sign off the request
- On Month end check the debtors aging and follow up on old items with debtors team
- Check if the AOD schedule agrees to aging

Balance Sheet
- Review VAT recon and ensure Vat was paid correctly
- Check that the recon agrees to the general ledger
- Check that the recon agrees to the general ledger
- Review of prepaid joining fees schedule
- Prepare a summary of open stores on consolidated report and agree to monthly pack
- Review the group loans recons
- Review a recon between amounts processed in the GL and bank transfers made on the bank
- Liaise with external auditors
- Prepare financial statements for all JV
- Ensure strict compliance to company Business assets policy and procedure

- Review Balance sheets recons
- Signed off disposed form for approval
- Signed off transfer form for approval
- Ensure that the fixed asset register agrees to GL
- Manage, safeguard and monitor company property / assets in accordance with company policy
