Our client has an opportunity available for a Paint Application Technician based in Durban.

**Requirements**:

- Willing to work overtime when required.
- 3+ years automotive industry experience in the paint environment.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Comprehensive electrical or mechanical knowledge.
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of programmable logic controllers.
- Good working knowledge of Kawasaki robotics would be advantageous.
- Valid driver's license.
- Qualified Millwright or Artisan.
- NTC 4, NTC 5 or higher.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain equipment and components of the paint distribution system.
- Support and provide input to TPM.
- Actively participate in the preparation and submission of all paint shop proposals for recording and verification.
- Manage, control and record spare parts usage and ensure optimum stock levels.
- Monitor and analyse all equipment breakdowns and provide statistical reporting on trends and occurrences.
- Use effective problem-solving techniques to determine the root cause analysis of failures and defects.
- Programme new production components to ensure optimum product introduction.
- Support start-up and shut down processes of the plant.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders where and when required to ensure continuous supply and provision of maintenance related support and resources.
- Assist with the development, introduction and sustainability of the maintenance program.
- Ensure compliance to Company policies, procedures and all legislative requirements.
- Adhere to all aspects of the OSHACT, ISO/TS16949, ISO14001 and OSHAS 18001.
- Ensure all electrical and mechanical installations are done according to SANS regulations.
- Ensure all equipment, power and hand tools are in good and safe working condition and operated, stored and maintained in accordance with specific requirement.
