Finsch Diamond Mine is located in the town of Lime Acres, which is situated 160km north-west of Kimberley and 109km south of
Kuruman in the Northern Cape.

**ROLE DESCRIPTION**:Reporting to the Specialist: Geotechnical Engineering, the role will collect and capture information on draw
point conditions and draw point loading, and monitor adherence to the Draw Control Plan. Recommend corrective actions as and
when required.

*TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- *
Monitor draw compliance and ensuring that weekly draw control plans are adhered to.
- Daily, weekly and monthly scheduling of draw and loading points based on the draw control plan, draw point conditions, %
draw of individual draw points and tunnel and level lead-lags.
- Daily inspection of draw and loading point conditions.
- Analyse draw and loading point conditions and liaise with the mine planning, geology and geotechnical engineering on timeous
corrective action where necessary.
- Work schedules for major draw point repairs in conjunction with mine planner, in order to optimize long term draw point
availability.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships and an effective / sound communication system within the Technical
Services Function.
- To control expenditure within area of responsibility in accordance with budgets.
- Takes cognisance of and adhere to Company policies, procedures and relevant legislation. Manage and report on non
compliance issues.
- Model behaviour that is consistent with the Company Safety, Health and Environment Vision and Values. Manage and report
on non compliance issues.
- Effective Team Player and Effective Self Management.

*MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 12***
A minimum of 2 years’ mining experience in a Trackless Mobile Machinery Environment - PLEASE CLEARLY SPECIFY ON
YOUR CV.
- A minimum of 2 years’ underground caving experience - PLEASE CLEARLY SPECIFY ON YOUR CV.
- Knowledge of geology and ground conditions - PLEASE CLEARLY SPECIFY ON YOUR CV.
- Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid Drivers’ License.*

Demonstrate knowledge and skill in underground caving methods.
- Record and interpret data using appropriate software.
