- Identify and source reliable suppliers for raw materials, components, and services.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Analyze market conditions and trends to anticipate supply chain risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast material requirements and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery and receipt of materials.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any quality or delivery issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information.
- Receive incoming materials, verify quantities, and inspect for quality and damage.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and inventory control.
- Issue materials to production teams based on requisitions and production schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issuances, and stock counts.
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to ensure adequate stock availability.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to manage material flow and replenishment.
- **Education**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in inventory management is a plus.
- Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of inventory management software and systems.
- Strong organizational and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate material handling equipment.
