Husbandry/animal Keeper

The Montecasino Bird Gardens has a opening for a Husbandry/Animal Keeper.

This person will be responsible for husbandry and maintaining the well-being of the animals.

Further responsibilities include, assisting veterinary staff and record keeping. Applicant must be comfortable in a team environment, possess excellent communication skills and be self motivated. Applicant must be passionate, confident and well spoken in English. Must be able to move heavy objects and work outside in the Johannesburg climate year round.

A Grade 12 certificate is required as well as a valid code 8 driver's license. Applicants without a valid driver's license will not be considered. An animal related qualification will be preferred and any previous animal training experience is advantageous. Applicants will be required to work weekends, public holidays and overtime.

**Salary**: From R5 500,00 per month
