Pinetown, South Africa The Sales Barn Full time

Our client, based in Pinetown, is looking to employ a bookkeeper in their business. Reporting to the Financial Manager this position will fulfil a variety of functions as described below. The salary being offered is R20k - R25k depending on experience.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
- 3 to 5 years previous bookkeeping experience.
- Financial Accounting degree or equivalent qualification.
- Software: Pastel, XERO, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook.
- Payroll knowledge.
- SARS knowledge.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills.
- The ability to prioritise whilst adhering to strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Capable of working independently as well as in team environment.
- Own vehicle and valid driver’s licence.
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry would be beneficial.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Customer invoicing, returns, credit notes and month end reconciliation to statement.
- Supplier purchase orders, invoice capturing and month end reconciliation to statement.
- Stock Maintenance - maintenance of products in accounting software and reconciliation to third party logistics partner stock on hand reporting.
- Prepare weekly cashflow and forecast.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts.
- Weekly and month end Banking - loading new beneficiaries and payments for approval and release.
- Prepare and maintain payroll system for all employees in accordance with SARS statutory requirements.
- Prepare both SARS VAT201 and EMP201 submissions per SARS deadlines.
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register - additions / disposals of assets and calculation of depreciation.
- Prepare month end journals - payroll, sales, depreciation etc.
- Prepare the monthly and quarterly accounts for review per shareholder stipulated deadlines.
- Assist in preparation of audit process and work alongside auditors for required information.
- Assist in preparing the budget of the business.
- Other Adhoc: audit trail compliance; compiling contracts for approval.

Pay: R20 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month

**Education**:

- Bachelors (required)

**Experience**:

- Payroll: 3 years (required)
- SARS: 3 years (required)
- Pastel, Xero & Microsoft: 3 years (required)

License/Certification:

- Accounting degree or equivalent qualification (required)
- Drivers Licence & Vehicle (required)
