**Primary Purpose**

To formulate and execute the fit-for-purpose marketing, branding and communication strategy of Bidvest Bank to enable the business to achieve profitability and sustainability that solidifies and positions the bank as a leading business bank in the market. Develop strong Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Client (B2C) insights to ensure the appropriate marketing campaigns and capitalization of market opportunities. Direct and lead the marketing, events and communications team enabling the execution of a strong purpose and diverse multi-channel marketing and branding strategy.

- B Com Degree (Marketing) or relevant

Experience
- 10 - 12 years in a Marketing and Communications role
- 3 - 5 years in a management role

**What will your responsibilities include?**

STRATEGY

Strategy Formulation and Execution
- Formulate and execute the B2B and B2C marketing, branding and communication strategy for the bank aligned to Bidvest Bank strategy and goals, by developing a strong business understanding of the relevant portfolios, new markets, and new products/solutions for Bidvest to grow market share through engagement with the various Divisional heads.
- Position and establish a brand presence and awareness of Bidvest Bank as the business bank of choice through relevant marketing and communication strategies.
- Analyse key competitor activity, strategy, and media usage and explore media consumption, customer behaviour and customer experience to inform marketing and communication strategies applicable to Bidvest Bank's brand.
- Seize opportunities in the market by anticipating potential shifts and appropriately adapting the marketing and communication strategy to align to market requirements.
- Provide input into the development of new markets as well as new propositions within and outside of the Bank to ensure that Bidvest Bank's value proposition is adequately addressed.
- Engage with strategic partners in the bank by providing the business units with insights around the competitive positioning and develop action plans to differentiate offerings and business solutions through marketing and communication strategies to draw a larger market share for Bidvest Bank.
- Formulate marketing and communication standards and policies by evaluating the current and changing markets, gain insights, and devise ways in which Bidvest Bank can remain competitive in the market based on the customer insights.
- Conduct post analysis of marketing and communications campaigns and use insights to determine contribution to the effectiveness of campaigns and to inform future marketing and communication strategies.
- Oversee and drive the consistent articulation of Bidvest Bank's brand image and position in the market by ensuring that all divisional strategies are aligned and designed to achieve the overall Brand image of the bank.

Assume the position and take overall accountability of “Brand Custodian” by setting the standards, policies, and guidelines for ensuring that all marketing collateral, communication, advertising, product/solution design, complies with Bidvest Bank brand guidelines, ethos and culture.

FINANCE

Financial Management
- Monitor the financial and non-financial return on investment of the various campaigns and other marketing initiatives by analyzing the relevant data metrics ensuring that the marketing strategies and business solutions are financially viable.
- Through marketing and communications deliverables, drive client growth, deliver client solutions to the market and improve client experience in support of Bidvest Bank's goals and targets.
- Develop and manage the marketing and communications budget and oversee financial objectives, ensuring these are met by forecasting requirements, preparing a consolidated annual budget, analyzing overall variances, and directing corrective actions within the team.

CUSTOMER CENTRICITY

Stakeholder Management
- Identify and build strategic partnerships and cement Bidvest Bank as preferred bank for business banking, fleet and forex, by launching refreshed brand to market campaigns.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support marketing and communication activities to leverage relevant marketing channels and to create unique and authentic customer experiences that differentiate Bidvest Bank from competitors.
- Direct the development and maintenance of media relations and functioning as chief interface for advertising, special events, media agencies to ensure parity and consistency across Bidvest Bank.
- Where relevant, represent Bidvest Bank at external bodies and engage media, investors, regulator, etc. for the provision of external market analysis and brand proposition.
