Fitness Specialist

AN INTERNATIONAL LEADER IN THE HEALTH AND FITNESS SECTOR REQUIRES THE SERVICES OF A SUITABLY QUALIFIED AND EXPERIENCED **FITNESS SPECIALIST** TO JOIN THE COMPANY'S EXISTING STAFF COMPLEMENT AT ITS HEAD OFFICE SITUATED IN DURBANVILLE, CAPE TOWN.

**Role Description**:
**Criteria**:
1. Qualified to perform Group X classes with existing experience.

2. Developing choreographed and non-studio fitness programmes for the Ignite Fitness App.

3. Experience in producing web and digital videography fitness classes.

4. Managing of personal trainers and related revenue.

5. Facilitation of fitness classes.

**Role**:

- Promoting of personal trainers at the company, remotely and via the Ignite Fitness App.
- Reviewing of class timetables.
- Standardisation of arena classes.
- Training fitness employees on the standardisation of arena classes.
- Writing and developing training manuals.
- Act as the liaison officer for the App with stakeholders.
- Develop and manage a 6-12 week training programme.
- Manage the performance of personal trainers at the company.
- Manage the revenue generation of personal trainers.
- Create and directive progress of the programme and App.
- Recording of people and employees for marketing material for the company’s fitness programmes and for the App.
- Conduct “mystery shopping” of fitness offerings at the company’s various facilities, including personal training and arena classes, to ensure that standards are being maintained at all times.
- Develop and implement the member induction programme.

**Skills / Experience / Qualifications**:

- Matric.
- Relevant qualification.
- 3 years of managerial experience in the health and fitness sector.
- Experience in choreographing fitness routines.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing fitness program's.
- Proven experience in devising and implementing training and career development curricula.
- Good presentation skills.
- Willing to work weekends and overtime.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Goal oriented.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good administration skills.
- Ambitious and driven personality with a hunger for success.
- Excellent ability to manage performance of people.
