Sheq Officer- Pinetown

Our**Manufacturing** **Packaging Client** is currently looking for a **SHEQ Officer** based in **Pinetown.**

Salary Range: R18,000 - R20,000 per month

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Grade 12/ Matric
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years experiences in SHEQ management, preferably in the packaging industry.
- Knowledge of relevant safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations and standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Safety Management**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate and deliver safety training programs for employees to promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

**Health Management**:

- Implement and oversee health programs and initiatives to promote employee well-being.
- Conduct health risk assessments and provide recommendations for preventive measures.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and occupational health teams to address employee health concerns.

**Environmental Management**:

- Develop and maintain environmental management systems to minimize environmental impact.
- Monitor and report on environmental performance, including waste management and pollution control.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.

**Quality Management**:

- Monitor and evaluate quality processes and procedures to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct quality audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to SHEQ activities.
- Prepare and submit reports on SHEQ performance, incidents, and compliance to management.
