Foreman: Laboratory

RCL Foods is looking for a highly motivated Laboratory Foreman to join our Molatek team. The role will be based in Malelane and will report to the Technical Manager.

RCL Foods entrusts the Laboratory Foreman to control laboratory testing, analysis, and reporting responsibilities through the planning and organizing of resources to support the technical and quality programme.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- To control laboratory testing, analysis, and reporting responsibilities through the planning and organizing of resources to support the technical and quality programme.
- Participation in product development.
- Oversight and guidance on the analytical chemistry procedures to verify/ confirm raw materials and animal feed products conform to standards.
- Execution of administrative information and management reporting.
- Oversee day to day laboratory operations and activities.
- Manage laboratory staff including training.
- Manage laboratory equipment maintenance.
- Maintain risk management systems.
- Control expenditure and manage budget.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Diploma or Degree in Analytical Chemistry or equivalent qualifications.
- At least 4 years laboratory management experience, preferably with experience in the Animal Feed /Sugar industry.
- Advanced computer literacy skills (LIMS, SAP, Excel, and Word).
- Sound knowledge of safety and quality management systems.
- Sound report writing and communication skills.
- Self-driven and naturally motivated person.
- Good leadership qualities.
