**Job description**

An innovative personal care company based in Muizenberg is looking for an experienced, driven, and vibrant marketer with a passion for haircare, skincare and beauty.

**Responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Brand and Marketing_
- Putting together and working closely to a 6+ month marketing strategy
- Management of existing brands, ensuring all content and brand messaging is consistent across the board.
- Brand building; managing the launch and roll-out of new brands as well as developing CI.
- Running with strategy and campaign management - from executive to implementation
- Analysis of the effectiveness of all efforts and how that translates to sales targets.
- Researching new product opportunities, customer insights and industry trends - a keen interest in the natural and textured haircare, skincare, and beauty industry in a MUST
- Developing a Trade Marketing team to action all aspects of trade campaign.
- Websites_
- One would need to work closely with offsite developers to launch new and maintain existing brand websites.
- This involves briefing, project management, content creation and copywriting.
- Sales_
- Working closely with sales team to manage local as well as international retail clients.
- Coordinating marketing activations or promotions with major retailers, ensuring that messaging is consistent, and targets are met.
- Social Media_
- Take the lead on strategy and campaign development.
- Brief in/create content, post and engage with communities on key platforms.
- Work closely with external agencies to conceptualize, brief in and monitor paid media campaigns.
- Reporting
- PR_
- Working with influencers and bloggers, managing trade exchanges and other PR activations and or events
- Managing relationships with external agencies
- Copywriting_
- Short to mid-length copy for retail listings, social media content, press releases, newsletters, and web content
- Leadership_
- You would need to have experience managing a small team across marketing, brand, sales and social media functions and leading external resources.

**Requirements**:

- Five +years' experience in a similar role
- Must have suitable qualification/experience in marketing, sales, advertising, e-commerce.
- Good understanding of digital marketing (SEO, PPC/CPC, social media)
- Design skills beneficial
- Exceptional knowledge of traditional and emerging marketing channels
- Ability to manage budgets with proficiency.
- Work well under pressure and be willing to work out of their job scope.
- An eye for aesthetics and a love of catchy copy
- Must be able to work ownership and be responsible for results.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Muizenberg, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)
