Payroll Consultant and Administrator

We are looking for an efficient Senior Payroll Consultant and Administrator responsible for client management, client consulting and outsourced payroll processing. The Payroll Administrator's duties include the management of employee data, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets, computing wages/salary, and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.

To be successful as a Payroll Administrator you should have strong numeracy skills and be able to multitask effectively. Ultimately, an outstanding Payroll Administrator should be able to manage all aspects of payroll in a timely and accurate manner. Essential to this role is an ability to communicate effectively with clients and meet tight deadlines for multiple client payrolls.

Payroll Administrator Responsibilities:

- Managing a client portfolio and meeting client requirements - combination of consulting and outsourced payroll deadlines
- Providing information and answering client questions about payroll related matters.
- Applicant must have experience setting up and changing payroll parameters
- Running all aspects of payroll including engagements, terminations, leave, third party benefits, SARS, ESS
- With support, consulting with clients on potential payroll improvements and fixes
- Mid / Year End processes

Payroll Administrator Requirements:

- National Matric Certificate
- Minimum 5 years payroll department experience
- Experience with Sage 300 People or Payspace advisable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software programs.
- Strong Microsoft Excel capabilities
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of relevant legal regulations.
- Able to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Applicants will need to complete a technical assessment, psychometric test and a number of pre-employment checks

Some business travel may be required.
