Furnace Operator

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Load raw materials into the furnace.

Operate pumps, valves and furnace equipment.

Unload product once sufficiently cooled.

Report defective equipment

Adherence to Safety, Environmental and Health regulations

Perform housekeeping duties.

**Experience and Skills Required**:
Matric with experience operating a furnace.

Foundry experience, melting department advantageous.

Good hand-eye condition and able to withstand metal high temperatures.

Able to handle pressure in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Understand emergency procedures pertaining to the furnace process.

Understand the Health and Safety requirements for operating the furnace.

Must be prepared to work overtime and shifts (when required)

Own reliable transport

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Killarney Gardens, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
