**Naval Architect / Lead Designer**
Exciting position available at a dynamic shipyard specializing in the design and construction of commercial, composite work boats and fishing vessels.
**Responsibilities**
Design studies on proposals.
Study stability criteria and generate stability prognosis.
Powering and resistance calculations.
Vessel design and systems engineering.
Modelling or all vessels, components, and composite structures.
New vessel conceptualization and rendering
Statutory drawing generation.
Detail construction drawing generation.
**Qualifications**
Applicant must have a good understanding of CATIA, and the various design methodologies used in the marine industry as well as Rhino and ORCA.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the field naval architecture with tertiary qualifications
Experience in composite boat building environment.
Ability to relocate or commute, full time position in Vredenburg, Western Cape
Salary is commensurate with experience.
