Field Biologist

**Position**: Field Biologist

**Location**: Nelspruit and Surroundings

**Salary**: R480 K per Annum

**Minimum requirements for the role**:

- Must have a relevant tertiary qualification in Agriculture
- An AVCASA certification will be preferred
- Practical experience in implementing field trials will be highly advantageous
- Must have a good understanding of crops, pests, and diseases as well as general research principles, evaluation methods, residue sampling methods and data interpretation
- Previous experience in the safe handling of agricultural remedies and an understanding GAP, GEP and GLP is important
- Must have a valid drivers license, be willing to travel and be adaptable to changing working hours according to trial requirements
- Ensuring the execution of trials according to set protocols, conforming to Good Agricultural Practices and Good Experimental Practices.
- Identifying suitable trial sites, executing and evaluating trials, capturing data and compiling trial reports.
- Ensuring trial protocols are followed accurately.
- Ensuring the quality and integrity of trials, data and reports.
- Controlling, maintaining, and calibrating spray equipment and instruments.
- Managing trial assistants.
- Following all safety standards and ensuring correct PPE is used.
