Closed Circuit Television

Duties/Pligte
- Monitoring and operating CCTV systems and associated equipment in the Operational Room;
- Conducting physical searches on CCTV systems, both on a proactive and reactive basis;
- Ensuring that quality service is delivered within the scope of policy and procedures with regard to CCTV monitoring;
- Maintaining accurate records of data recordings and events, using incident reporting software; Providing recorded footage to authorised personnel;
- Assisting the police regarding preperation of evidence, and other activities associated with attendance at court as a witness;
- Complying with protocols in maintaining the security/operational procedures/service of the Operational Room and the sensitivity of CCTV footage;
- Participating in personal training and development in order to maintain an understanding of current CCTV legislation and regulation;
- Monitoring and operating systems such as the alarm monitoring platform and radio communication systems utlisised in the Operational Room;
- Contributing to the development and enhancement of the Operational Room's working practices;
- Conducting any other duties applicable to the successful execution of the Operational Room.
- Monitor en bedryf kringtelevisiestelsels en gepaardgaande toerusting in die Operasionele Kamer;
- Uitvoer van fisiese soektogte op CCTV-stelsels, beide op 'n pro-aktiewe en reaktiewe basis;
- Verseker dat kwaliteit diens gelewer word binne die bestek van beleid en prosedures met betrekking tot CCTV monitering;
- Handhawing van akkurate rekords van data-opnames en -gebeurtenisse deur gebruik te maak van insidentrapporteringsagteware;
- Verskaffing van opgeneemde beeldmateriaal aan gemagtigde personeel;
- Hulpverlening aan die polisie met die voorbereiding van getuienis en ander aktiwiteite wat verband hou met hofbywoning as 'n getuie;
- Voldoening aan protokolle in die handhawing van die sekuriteit/operasionele prosedures/diens van die Operasionele Kamer en die sensitiwiteit van kringtelevisiemateriaal;
- Neem deel aan persoonlike opleiding en ontwikkeling om 'n begrip van huidige CCTV-wetgewing en -regulering te handhaaf;
- Monitor en bedryf stelsels soos die alarmmoniteringsplatform en die radiokommunikasiestelsels wat in die Operasionele Kamer gebruik word;
- Dra by tot die ontwikkeling en verbetering van die Operasionele Kamer se werkspraktyke;
- Uitvoer van enige ander pligte wat van toepassing is op die suksesvolle uitvoering van die Operasionele Kamer.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification;
- Valid registration with PSiRA and Grade B to C security training;
- Proven security, CCTV and control room experience at a tertiary or similar institution;
- Excellent verbal communication skills in at least Afrikaans and English;
- Computer literacy, with proficiency in MS Outlook, Word and Excel;
- Contactable work-related references;
- No criminal record;
- Good physical and mental health;
- Own transport to and from the workplace;
- Willingness and availability to work shifts, if necessary;
- Willingness to perform extra services as required from time to time.
- Senior Sertifikaat of gelykwaardige kwalifikasie;
- Geldige registrasie by PSiRA en Graad B tot C sekuriteitsopleiding;
- Bewese sekuriteits, CCTV en beheerkamerervaring by 'n tersiêre of soortgelyke instansie;
- Uitstekende mondelinge kommunikasievaardighede in minstens Afrikaans en Engels;
- Rekenaargeletterdheid, met vaardigheid in MS Outlook, Word en Excel;
- Kontakbare werksverwante verwysings;
- Geen kriminele rekord;
- Goeie fisiese en psigiese gesondheid;
- Eie vervoer na en vanaf die werksplek;
- Bereidwilligheid en beskikbaarheid om skofte te werk, indien nodig;
- Bereidwilligheid om ekstra dienste te verrig soos van tyd tot tyd vereis word.

- A valid code EB driver's licence;
- Related customer service training;
- The ability to prepare reports and documents in MS Word and Excel;
- Knowledge and experience in the use of electronic incident reporting software;
- Knowledge and experience in the use of CCTV systems.
