We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester to join a Hybrid team in Bellville on a 1-year contract basis. As an Automation Tester, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Selenium, Visual Studio, and Jira. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the software products by identifying defects and ensuring they are addressed before deployment.

**Responsibilities**:
1. **Test Automation Development**:Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Visual Studio, focusing on test cases related to functional, regression, and integration testing.

2. **Test Strategy and Planning**:Collaborate with the QA team and stakeholders to define test scenarios, test data, and test plans. Participate in test strategy discussions to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

3. **Test Execution**: Execute automated test scripts, analyze results, and identify defects and issues. Work closely with the development team to communicate and address any findings.

4. **Defect Management**: Log and track defects using Jira or the designated defect tracking system. Work with developers to provide detailed information about identified issues and assist in their resolution.

5. **Continuous Improvement**: Contribute to the enhancement of the automation framework, test scripts, and testing processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.

6. **Documentation**: Create and maintain clear and concise documentation related to test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test results.

7. **Collaboration**: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and other QA team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.

8. **Regression Testing**: Perform regular regression testing to verify that existing functionalities continue to work as expected in the context of new releases.

**Requirements**:

- **Experience**: Minimum of [X] years of hands-on experience in automation testing using Selenium and Visual Studio.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver for automated test script development.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C# or VB.NET.
- Experience with Visual Studio IDE for test script development.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- **Testing Tools**: Previous experience with Jira for defect tracking and test case management.
- **Testing Concepts**: Solid understanding of testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices, including regression testing, functional testing, and integration testing.
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and document defects precisely.
- **Communication**: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders effectively.
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues independently.
- **Adaptability**: Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to changing requirements and priorities.
- **Qualifications**: A relevant degree or certification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field would be advantageous.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: R300.00 - R450.00 per hour
