Reports to: Manager: Projects Department
Primary purpose: To contribute to the company’s success through the successful planning, execution, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within contract. Reviewing contractual agreements as well as overseeing the life cycle of each project.

Key tasks:
a) Project Management:

- Manage day-to-day client interaction and expectations for multiple or large-scale projects.
- Review deliverables across projects.
- Review contracts and highlight risks in terms of scope, performance and legal risks.
- Coordinate liaison of legal risk with sales and legal dept.
- Coordinate project execution steps between sales, engineering and management together with client and site staff.
- Manage resources available at company to meet project deliverables.
- Provide regular feedback on progress, meeting of deliverable and highlight any risks to company and client.
- Understand client and company needs and provide alternative business solutions.
- Continually seek and capitalize upon opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and develop long term opportunities for the company.
- Assist in the identification of strategic accounts
- Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensures accurate invoicing, and monitor receivables for projects.
- Analyse profitability, revenue, margins, rates, and utilisation across projects.
- Identify partnership opportunities and capitalize on “cross-selling” opportunities across projects.
- Serve as key participant in team and client meetings
- Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
- Risk Management
- Manage project development from beginning to end
- Maintaining & reviewing shared drives & folders to ensure good IT housekeeping within the Projects Department

b) Manage resources:

- Capabilities: Training, developing and mentoring of team aligned with departmental objectives. Follow procedures which may be required for any counselling/ disciplinary measures.
- Capacity: Manage work allocation and number of resources aligned with departmental objectives

c) Quality Management:

- Following strict procedures and processes dictated by ISO 9001 processes
- Company’s engineering procedures
- Follow PMBOK standards
- Follow contract/purchase order requirements

d) Active participation in Senior Management Team and strategy:

- Make recommendations to Management
- Reporting
- Reporting to Stakeholders

e) Administration:

- Deal effectively with all enquiries/queries ensuring a prompt response
- Chair ad hoc project meetings
- Assist Marketing/ Product Support Departments with tenders
- Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large-scale projects.

- Project Administration
- Internal/Skills Development (Product Knowledge)

Limit of authority/ responsibilities:
Project Management:

- Sign off for all major orders on all Projects
- Financial:

- Project Budget
- refer to “Limits of Authority” procedure

Dealing with general enquiries, deciding when to refer up.Communication and working relationships:
Internal: Projects Department. All staff as required, across the organisation, at all levels.
Senior and Executive Management
External: Correspondence, meetings, and telephone calls to external parties, including contractors and clients.
Tact and diplomacy are always required when dealing with confidential matters.

Working conditions and environment:
Standard office environment
Overtime may be required from time to time in order to meet project deadlines
Travelling is required (local and international)

Job Qualification & Experience:
Knowledge:

- Relevant Qualifications in Project Management
- At least 5 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
- Registered with professional Project Man
