Yard Assistant

**Core purpose of the role**

The core purpose of this position is to ensure that customers are assisted with vehicle collections at the Trade centres within the expected parameters whilst adhering to security and compliance requirements. You will have the ability to build good relationships with internal and external customers, acting very professionally always.

**Key deliverables and outputs**
- Ensure that the stock remains in a condition it was received in.
- Work closely with the yard, delivery, and collections teams to ensure stock procedures.
- Manage risk by ensuring company assets are properly taken care of.
- Prepare vehicles and related items for collection by authorized persons in accordance with procedure.
- Maintain yard facilities to the expected standard.
- Be able to manage yourself.

**Yard**
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain yard and facilities to the expected standard.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

**Security**
- Advise of any security risks
- Adhere to security process communicated to you.
- Ensure keys and vehicles are security stored at all times.
- When handling keys and vehicles, ensure that all are accounted for once duties have been completed.

**Academic qualifications**

**Essential**:

- Grade 12
- Valid Driver’s license

**Work Experience**

- 1-2 years of practical experience in similar role
