Betting Clerk

Betfred SA has vacancy for a Betting Clerk at the Wynberg Branch. To ensure that the correct procedure of laying bets, handling cash and pay out of winning tickets is adhered to.

**Requirements**:

- Matric or equivalent (Please attach a copy of your matric certificate);
- Minimum 1 year retail experience
- Background knowledge of horse racing and sports betting would be an advantage;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Ensuring effective and efficient cash management;
- Project a good image to customers;
- Provide excellent customer service;
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.

**Responsibilities**
- Laying of bets for customers;
- Receiving of cash and recording bets electronically;
- Paying customers on winning tickets;
- Pricing and updating;
- Assisting with customer complaints and queries;
- Assisting with proper functioning of all equipment and reporting faults to Manager timeously;
- Complying with company policy on betting;
- Responsible for cash in own drawer;
- Live up to Betfred SA’s professional standards.

**NB**:The Company fully subscribes to the principles of the Employment Equity Act.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Wynberg, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
