Working Hours: Mon to Thursday, from 08h00 to 17h00
Friday 08h00 - 14h00

**Requirements **-A formal qualification
- A minimum of three years’ work experience in the NPO sector
- A minimum of two years’ work experience in a similar role
- Fluent in written and spoken Afrikaans and English
- Must have a valid driving licence and own reliable transport
- Must be prepared to obtain a code 10 driving license and drive a passenger vehicle
- Advanced computer skills
- Ability to pay attention to detail, plan and prioritise work
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

**PURPOSE OF POSITION**

This position is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the project's Life Skills and Extra-Curricular Services.

The Life Skills and Extra-Curricular Coordinator works alongside the Principal and
Programme/Service Managers to facilitate the After-School Club activities and provide support to the Skills Development Centre.

The Life Skills service focuses on the following initiatives:

- Learner On-site Support
- Leadership Development Initiative
- Learner Coaching Initiative (LCI)

The Extra-Curricular service focuses on the following initiatives:

- Art Initiative
- Sports and Recreation Initiative
- Educational Outings and Activities Initiative

**DUTIES**

**INITIATIVE COORDINATION**
- To liaise with Life Skills and Extra-Curricular (LSEC) Manager on the implementation of the LSEC service.
- To oversee and implement the School Enrichment Programme (SEP).
- To oversee the daily management of the After-School Club.
- To assist with homework, tutoring and present vocational education lessons to learners.
- To assist with classroom substitution, when required.
- To manage the library.
- To teach computer literacy to the Pebbles Academy and Skills Development Centre learners.
- To oversee, facilitate and implement sports and recreation activities.
- To source, recruit and engage potential service providers to ensure learners have access to activities.
- To organise and execute sporting events.
- To collaborate with educators to plan and organise appropriate educational outings.
- To facilitate Learner Coaching Initiative workshops.

**MONITORING AND EVALUATION (M & E)**
- To manage and monitor the inventory for the services resources at the project.
- To contribute to the development of the services through identifying gaps and establishing strategic solutions.
- To assist the Principal with the collection of relevant and appropriate data for effective monitoring and evaluation.
- To take overall responsibility for the timely (monthly) sharing of M&E information to the management systems.
- To ensure continued monitoring of key performance indicators for the initiatives.
- To report on annual needs of each programme for budget purposes.

**ADMINISTRATION AND TEAM SUPPORT**
- To assist with the development and implementation of new initiatives for the Hemel
- en-Aarde Project.
- To assist the SEP/Principal Manager with annual strategic planning and ongoing service planning.
- To participate in training/workshops offered by partnering organisations in order to implement the activities strategically within the services.
- To ensure the logístical management of all initiative activities.
- To manage volunteers that forms part of the Life Skills and Extra-Curricular service.
- To manage the allocated budget in alignment to Pebbles Project policies.
- To manage resources and equipment requests, arrange purchases and facilitate the distribution in alignment with Pebbles Project policies.
- To attend the School Enrichment Programme staff training, to streamline the communications between the initiatives.
- To follow any reasonable instruction as requested by any Manager or member of

Senior Management to the contribution of productivity.
- To assist with the planning and executing of events, hosting visitors and donors.
