Trader Assistant - Stellenbosch, Western Cape
Our client based in Stellenbosch is looking for a
**Trader Assistant** to join their team.
**Job Purpose**:
- To provide effective, efficient, and accurate administrative support to designated Traders.
- To provide effective and efficient communication to all key stakeholders (Producers, Packhouse and Clients).
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Confirm consignee details with freight forwarder and documentation requirements.
- Verify and distribute Packing List and invoices to Clients - follow up with Trader to ensure timeous approval).
- Follow up on all Export documentation to prevent unnecessary delays.
- Distribute draft and final Vessel documentation to Clients.
- Assist with Shipping Line claims.
- Updating and distribution of Shipment Reports.
- Handle general/daily queries from key stakeholders and communicate with Logistics and Marketing.
- Responsible for all product sample preparations.
- Assist with special market requirements (i.e. Import Permits / Proforma Invoices).
- Assist with Release letters and any Survey requests, on arrival.
- Assist with Debit and Credit Notes.
- Assist with manual invoices and packing lists.
- Save final Vessel documentation on server/system folder.
- Assist Traders with adhoc task/project requests, as and when required.
**Minimum Requirements/Qualifications/Competencies**:
- Grade 12 / Matric is essential.
- BSc Agriculture at a recognized and SAQA accredited University will be an added advantage.
- 3+ Years’ experience in agricultural exports is required.
- Strong product knowledge and product ranges is required.
- Intermediate Level of MS Office Suite is required.
- Extensive understanding of the portfolio of Quality Management.
- Knowledge of general business acumen.
- BRC Training and experience is required.
- Deadline driven and team orientated individual.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills required.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
