**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Title: Nail Technician**
**Purpose of the work**:
It is the role of the Nail Technician to offer professional nail, hand and feet treatments in conjunction with retail advice, suited to the guests’ individual needs. As a Nail Technician you have intimate contact with the guests and should therefore display **_exceptional customer service and professionalism at all times. _**:

**Work Responsibilities**:
1. Understand and be able to accurately analyse guests' needs and offer all treatments expected of your qualification and contract.
2. Maintain a hygienic working environment (Nail Stations and Pedi Areas) as per Franchise system requirements.
3. Advise guests on the appropriate treatment according to their needs to meet your minimum sales requirements (according to skills level).
4. Advise guests on the appropriate retail products for home care, to meet your minimum sales requirements (according to skills level).
5. Actively up-sell and cross-sell treatments and retail products.
6. Actively promote re-booking of treatments.
7. Maintain and care for equipment and work tools entrusted to you.
8. Prepare Mani Stations and Pedi Chairs for treatment BEFORE guests arrive as well as clean up after.
9. Clean, sanitize and sterilize all equipment and tools after each use as per the Sorbet Hygiene Protocol.
10. Accurately restock your workstation and equipment box when needed.
11. Regularly attend and participate in the required training modules as per the Sorbet Franchise system and Supplier requirements.
12. Be able to advise guests to seek medical treatment for chronic and / or contagious nail conditions.
13. Always maintain a positive, friendly and empathetic relationship with all guests and fellow citizens.
14. Assist in additional general operational work, as required by the Franchise Partner or Franchisor (cleaning of communal areas, stock takes, etc.)
15. Flexibility with shift times to accommodate attendance of Talk Shows and Training as required by the company.
16. Perform any other reasonable requests and tasks related to the maintenance of the business as requested by management from time to time.
17. Wear the Sorbet uniform correctly and with pride
18. Read and understand the requirements, rules and protocols of the brand and uphold the reputation of the brand at all times.
19. Abide by the rules and disciplinary guidelines at all times.

**Key Competencies**:

- Accredited Mani, Pedi and Nail Technology Diploma / certificate.
- Able to accurately analyse and prescribe the correct treatments and home care products.
- Guest Focused.
- Punctual.
- Good communications skills (spoken, written and telephonic).
- Organised and systematic.

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: R4,200.00 - R12,000.00 per month

- Acrylic Nails: 1 year (required)
