Our client based in Johannesburg is looking for an Internal Audit Manager who will oversee a team of managers and auditors, managing a strategic Internal Audit project, in accordance with the Firm's policies and procedures.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage day-to-day internal audit processes from planning and execution to reporting across multiple assignments running simultaneously.
- Demonstrate strong project management skills to coordinate internal audit resources.
- Ability to plan, conduct and report on Internal Audits and investigations from beginning to end, in line with quality standards, often managing multiple projects at once.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Ability to understand and perform Internal Audits on complex business processes.
- Ability to direct and manage teams delivering the internal audit plans.
- Ability to build effective relationships with business stakeholders.
- Interact effectively with a range of different business functions and levels of management, in a multi-cultural environment, and with shared service centers.
- Have proven analytical skills, solid business judgement, strong controllership focus, and the capability to influence the organization to implement value adding controls.
- Proven track record of business report writing and ability to clearly and effectively communicate complicated audit issues in business terms.
- Be able to translate risks into business issues, help prioritize findings and recommendations in line with business strategy to act as a valued business partner.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and confidence to build trust relationships with business stakeholders and the global internal audit organization.
- Have desire to fast-track career path.
- Contribute to business development;
- Manage Compliance towards Firm policies and processes within area of responsibility.
- Contribute to effective team and
- Provide on-the-job training for developing internal auditing skills and familiarity with the firm's audit methodology.

**Key Requirements**:

- Certified Internal Auditor/Professional Internal Auditor or Certification in Information Systems Audit or Chartered Accountant(SA)
- Honours
- Certified Fraud Examiner
- Compliance Institute of South Africa
- South African Institute of Chartered Accountant
- 5 years Internal Auditing
- 4+ years experience in Internal Audit, 2 years at Management Level in Internal Audit in a professional Audit Firm
- Advanced Communication (Verbal and Written / Negotiation)
- Private sector and public entity experience
- Advanced Relationship Management (Building successful teams)
- Outstanding Leadership Skills
- Personal Development (Emotional Intelligence / Continuous Development)
- CISA/ CFE and other professional accreditations will be beneficial
- Drivers Licence and own transport
