**Position Overview**: We are seeking a dedicated Ward Enrolled Nurse to join our team at the new Mveledzo Day Hospital in Thohoyandou. The role involves providing essential nursing care and support to patients admitted to the hospital ward, collaborating with healthcare teams, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- **Key Responsibilities**:

- Conducting basic nursing assessments and assisting with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges under the supervision of registered nurses.
- Monitoring and recording patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall health status, reporting any changes or abnormalities to senior nursing staff promptly.
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility as needed, maintaining patient comfort and dignity.
- Administering medications, treatments, and procedures as directed by registered nurses or physicians, adhering to medication safety protocols and documentation requirements.
- Providing emotional support, comfort, and reassurance to patients and their families, addressing questions, concerns, and providing education on healthcare needs and self-care techniques.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, therapists, and social workers to coordinate patient care plans, interventions, and referrals.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes, following hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Participating in infection control measures, safety protocols, and quality improvement initiatives within the ward setting.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Enrolled Nurse qualification with current registration and practicing license.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of nursing principles, medication administration, and patient care techniques.
- Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work efficiently under supervision, and adapt to changing patient needs in a dynamic healthcare environment.
