Dealership Workshop Foreman

A well-established and highly successful Dealership in Kempton Park, requires the services of a Workshop Foremanwith a minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience. The main focus will be the successful management of the workshop productive team.

**Responsibilities**:
Manage and grow workshop technicians

Manage daily workflow in the vehicle workshop

Manage breakdown status and progress

Compile technical reports, quotations and feedback to management

Liaise with suppliers regarding outwork status

Enforce discipline and general housekeeping of the workshop

Provide technical support for technicians when necessary

Check progress of each repair order throughout the day

Maintain high-quality service repairs and minimize comebacks

Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.

Monitors technicians' daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records Monitor shop condition, including cleanliness, safety and the condition of shop equipment. Reports problems to the service manager

Maintains safe work environment

Communicate with staff, parts department and other departments effectively

Ensure customer satisfaction is at 100% and all queries are attended to timeously

Ensure proper communication regarding jobs in progress

Enhance facilities

Improve technical skills in the workshop

Ensure accurate invoicing and job costing in the service department

Ensure premises and equipment and other assets are controlled and used effectively

Plan and allocate the technicians' work based on their skill, expertise, and experience

Manage the service schedule, and warranty claims.

Direct and assist technicians to ensure repairs are completed to the desired standard

Maintain service processes, policies, and guidelines and ensure that they are carried out safely

To check completed work and ensure parts and labour are fully accounted for

Maintain workshop discipline and organization, ensuring cleanliness and safety of the working environment

Responsibility for the special tool inventory and recommendation of the purchase of new tools if necessary

Be hands-on

**Qualifications and Minimum Requirements**:
Trade Test Certificate (Motor Mechanic)

Workshop Foreman experience at a motor vehicle dealership

Stable work track record

Valid Driver’s License

Computer literate

**Skills**:
Proven work experience as a Workshop Foreman or similar role

Attention to detail

Proven fault finding and trouble shooting skills

Management of staff

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

**Salary**: R25,000.00 - R28,000.00 per month
