**Role summary**

The Theatre Manager will be responsible for coordinating improved quality nursing care by ensuring
Compliance to professional and ethical practice.

Delivery is implemented and practiced within a multi-disciplinary quality assurance team. In accordance
The incumbent will be accountable for coordinating capacity building, mentoring and training.

**Education**
- A relevant nursing qualification (Diploma in General Nursing / B Cur Degree) or equivalent NQF 7 qualification
- Degree or Diploma in Operating Room essential.
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
- Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislation
- A diploma/certificate in Management or Nursing Administration would be an advantage

**Work Experience**
- 2 years’ experience in the relevant or more years’ experience in a private hospital setting
- Managerial experience in hospital environment is essential
- Experience in clinical leadership
- A minimum of 7 years experience in Theatre/ Recovery room nursing is essential
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a theatre managerial/deputy manager/shift leader position with a
proven track record would be advantageous
