Grain Procurement Officer

**Objectives**:
The main objective will be the responsibility of all grain procurement and distribution functions.

**Main Duties**:

- Recruiting farmers to plant on contract.
- Contract negotiations with farmers.
- Grain procurement and distribution.
- Liaising with contracted farmers regarding planting procedures and crop management.
- Yield estimates.
- Quality control on grain harvests and stock.
- Grain trading.

**Requirements**:

- BSc. Agric: Agronomy and/or Soil Science; or Agronomy and/or Agricultural Economics
- Agricultural economic knowledge will be advantageous.
- Own transport and licence
- At least 3 years’ experience in grain procurement/ trading
- Agricultural knowledge of row crop production will be advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to travel
- A can-do mentality.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
