Kitchen Carpenter Specialist

**Responsibilities**:

- Construct, assemble and install kitchen cabinets, walk-in closets, bars, bathroom vanities, etc
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully understand requirements
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
- Cut, shape, smooth, fabricate, and/or install lumber and other material according to measurements
- Build kitchen carcasses, walk in closets, bathroom vanities and bars
- Carve and assemble cabinets, shelves, and other items, and install them where designated
- Inspect areas to conduct repairs or maintenance

**Job Qualifications**:

- Drivers license
- 15-20 years of hands-on kitchen carpentry experience
- Great hand dexterity and an eye for detail
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings
- Must follow safety guidelines at all times
- Good knowledge of English
- Good understanding of basic math
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Matric certificate; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is required
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.

**Salary**: From R15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Midrand, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- kitchen carpentry: 10 years (required)

License/Certification:

- Drivers license (preferred)
