Industrial Metrology Associate

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. Follow Quality Data Management System (QDMS) procedure to approve incoming and in house part according to Component quality guide as per Arçelik Standard (series of white goods and small appliances produced by Arçelik).

2. Conduct relevant tests as per quality guide & Interpreting data from computerized measuring devices, recommending new standards or testing methods to organizations Institute of Quality and Control (IQC) that set industry standards.

3. Ensure all measuring & lab testing equipment’s are calibrated on time and tracked.

4. Periodic checks/verification on equipment’s to maintain correct usage in process ensuring that non conformances are raised and closed.

5. Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) Studies as per yearly target By HQ and train staff if necessary.

6. Ensuring that the QA dept has the correct tools and equipment to measure all required specifications of components making a product.

7. Ensuring that we can measure all specifications according to SABS/SANAS/ IEC and Arçelik requirements.

8. Creating and maintaining a system that tracks and follows components that are approved.

9. Track FSA on components as per Bill of material of final product.

10. Evaluate risk and address it accordingly during approval process.

11. Redesigns or adjusts measurement capability to minimize errors.

12. Directs engineering, quality, and laboratory personnel in design, manufacture, evaluation, and calibration of measurement standards, instruments, and test systems to ensure quality standard of the company.

13. Quality Initiatives (Warranty Related).

14. Training / Developments: WD’s, OPL’s, Procedures.

15. Assist in component reliability testing.

16. Manufacturing related queries on component measurements.

17. The employee is not limited to only perform the tasks listed, other tasks that develop which will need to be carried out and completed as assigned

**REQUIREMENTS**

1. Post matric technical qualification in line with white goods/Automotive lab environment.

2. Advanced Excel Skills.

3. Understanding of Technical Drawings, Tolerances and Clearances.

4. Technical skills to read and interpret data.

5. Ability to use CAD software/ SAP.

6. Beneficial in understanding of Standards (ISO 9001 - 2015/ISO 17025) and a Quality Management System.

7. Ability to carry out statistical Analysis and problem solving, as well as technical problem solving.

8. Excellent Communication Skills & attention to detail.

9. MSA experience - Advantageous.

10. 6 Sigma methodology experience - Advantageous.

11. Usage of Computerized Measuring equipment - Advantageous.
