Foundation Phase Teacher

Applications are invited for an energetic, creative, and innovative Locum Foundation phase teacher, who meets the below listed pre-requisites.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Appropriate professional qualification for Foundation Phase;
- Proven experience in Foundation Phase teaching;
- Teaching experience within the IEB system would be a strong recommendation;
- Highly proficient in ICT;
- Registered with SACE and must have a valid police clearance certificate;
- A dynamic, creative personality with strong interpersonal skills;
- Ability to introduce, develop and work collaboratively within the grade;
- Must have the ability to identify with the values and ethos of the school.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
The duties and Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

- Planning and preparation of developmentally appropriate and relevant lessons based on current material;
- Keeping accurate observations of students and engage in continuous assessment so that their progress is continuously monitored and regularly reported on;
- Developing and implementing a suitable classroom management system, establishing routines and effective rules for acceptable behaviour;
- Catering for the personal wellbeing and general welfare of all students in your care;
- Sharing in the responsibilities of organising and conducting extra and co-curricular activities as per the extra-curricular roster;
- Adhering to the guidelines and requirements of the school’s calendar - in particular when scheduling student activities and assessments;
- Assisting with the organisation of and attending school functions and events including, but not limited to, assemblies, staff workshops, festivals and parent evenings.
