Waitron

Purpose of the Position

Delivering quality service to restaurant guests. Taking customer orders and delivering food and beverages. Making menu recommendations, answering questions and sharing additional information with guests.
- Greet and escort guests to their tables
- Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
- Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software (Micros System),
- Communicate order details to the kitchen staff,
- Serve food and drinks,
- Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems,
- Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area,
- Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning,
- Meet with Management to review changes on menu and service specifications for reservations,
- Ensure that your assigned section is never left unattended
- Effective communication with Management, guests and fellow employees whilst on the floor, and follow the correct sequence of service as per the company’s standards.
