To lead and develop a team of Transactors who initiate and lead deal origination and structuring, implementation, and client engagement in the allocated sector/product to enable improved profitability, market share and competitive positioning

To ensure that transactors are enabled, supported and empowered to articulate and set the desired Products and Services client plan and specific client strategy to ensure that clients are retained, their revenue is grown, and the client experience is improved
- Oversee and guide the implementation strategies to originate and execute transactions for new clients to the bank (business development)
- Oversee and monitor the implementation of effective sales strategies and plans to deliver client plans to exceed financial targets and the quality of client experience targets
- Develop and drive the achievement of agreed budget targets for new business and revenue from existing client base, and source new business opportunities externally
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of the activities of our competitors and the impact of these on our relationship with clients
- Support Transactors in the management of regular client interaction/visits to maintain relationships and pursue and grow business opportunities
- Track, monitor, and enable Transactors to follow up on all leads, reacting promptly to requests for service and identify client needs promptly to proactively market appropriate solutions
- Support and partner with Transactors with the negotiations and drive deal acceptance by presenting logical, appropriate, and convincing arguments that take into account the needs of all parties
- Facilitate and lead the engagement with internal stakeholders being Credit, Legal, Distribution, etc.
- Maintain good relations with team members, support staff and other Transactors in other divisions/business areas
- Oversee the quality of appropriate financial modelling and cash flow analysis being performed by Transactors in order to arrive at appropriately structured financing solution
- Manage and monitor the portfolio of exposures on an ongoing basis to ensure risk and exposure is managed with Transactors and implement tactics where needed
- Support and enable the development of business plans/strategies for each client and potential client
- Mine portfolio data to identify opportunities for further business and to identify risk indicators
- Conform to the bank’s risk policies and procedures
- Assume ownership of initial credit assessment and decline business that presents an unacceptable credit risk to the organisation with sound justification to the client
- Work closely with the Credit Manager to initiate business deal proposals for new facilities, or facility modifications that require the assessment of credit or other risk, and motivates the deal with insightful information regarding business strengths and vulnerabilities
- Ensure updates are timeously communicated and understood in terms of changes in risk profiles of the portfolio, and structure alternative mitigation or remedial plans to contain or minimise potential losses
- Understand and support with the action required in pricing for risk
- Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships within RMB and/or across the FRG
- Manage people by executing management responsibilities and create an environment that encourages employee growth and performance excellence
- Plan and manage performance, talent, succession and culture across function to improve performance
- Encourage, establish and maintain strategic relationships across multiple functional areas to enable collaboration and knowledge sharing across function
- Demonstrate leadership by providing strategic direction, fostering high ethical standards in meeting RMB/FRG's vision and goals, and design and implement strategies that maximise employee potential
