Counsellors X 2

**Main purpose of the job**:

- To counsel, screen, recruit TB patients and educate them about research, and capture study data into the electronic database

**Location**:

- **PHRU - Louis Trichardt, Tshilwavhusiku CHC, Limpopo**

**Key performance areas**:

- Recruitment of participants for studies
- Maintaining a good working relationship with local clinic staff
- To do study-related duties as specified by the protocol
- Complete the case report forms
- Communicate routinely with the study coordinator
- Do proper filing of results and any other study-related documents in the relevant assigned place
- Capture study data into REDCap or any other system
- Provide written reports to the study coordinator
- Perform ad hoc tasks as and when required
- Perform fieldwork activities as required

**Required minimum education and training**:

- **Matric**:

- **Fluent in both Xitsonga and Tshivenda**:

- **Computer literacy**:

- **Basic Counsellor Certificate**:

- **Good Clinical Practice certificate**:

- **An experienced driver with a valid driver’s license and code 8 will be advantageous**

**Required minimum work experience**:

- **At least 1 year of counseling experience in a clinical research environment**

**Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities**:

- Must possess strong organizational skills
- PDP would be advantageous
- Ability to multi-task and work in a complex and demanding environment
- Must be detail orientated
- Must be able to work as a member of a team
