**Overview**:
Design, develop, implement and maintain cybersecurity activities across the organisation and identify and establish security initiatives and standards as well as review and update the company’s IT security policies by setting procedures and guidelines that will ensure all IT systems are functional and secure systems.

**Functional Management**
- Ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of all system access control and maintenance of role-based security, and conduct regular security audits and take corrective action to support the delivery of optimal service to the organisation.
- To advise on and ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of secure access and communicate feedback to enable associated security risk management.
- Develop disaster recovery risk mitigation plans in the cyber security environment
- Track systems access control profiles documentation and ensure alignment with ICT security protocols
- Participate in the development and implementation of appropriate and effective controls to mitigate identified cyber threats and risks
- Provide specialist advice and consultation to safeguard information systems through identification and management of cyber security risks, audits and vulnerabilities
- Implement and monitor all cyber security aspects of the organisation.
- Conduct research and investigate measures that can address cybersecurity risks and potential losses.
- Determine acceptable cyber security risk appetite levels in consultation with the Head: ICT to adequately protect the organisation from potential risks and threats, aligned to the cyber security strategy
- Conduct ICT security risk assessment of existing and planned systems and identify measures to address ICT security challenges.
- Implement the ISO 27001 Information Security Standard
- Prevent unauthorized disclosure, modification, removal or destruction of information pertaining to business activities within scope of control.
- Implement compliance measures for the cyber security processes and procedures aligned to governance in terms of relevant legislative and audit requirements.
- Implement security control mechanisms, which enables cybersecurity services to have a view of the status of cyber security
- Ensure all cybersecurity analysis and research is captured, recorded, and reported on to ensure correct actions are implemented
- Maintain a register of all security changes and access granted via call logging system.
- Conduct security audits and access reviews to ensure compliance and perform root cause analysis.
- Maintain current knowledge of the cybersecurity industry’s emerging technologies
- Implement and maintain the cybersecurity systems development process within relevant systems.
- Recommend and implement system and technology solutions and improvements.
- Provide technical support and training to users of the relevant systems.
- Evaluate user needs and system functionality and ensure that the systems address all requirements.
- Provide support to end-users on an on-going basis based on their identified needs.

**Risk and Compliance Management**
- Assist in identifying and adhering to fraud controls, risk prevention principles, sound governance and compliance processes, and tools to identify and manage risks
- Support and provide evidence to all internal and external audit and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain quality risk management standards in line with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and enforce all related Service Level Agreements to minimise business risk and ensure business continuity.
- Adhere to all relevant laws, policies and Standard Operating Procedures throughout the organisation.

**Stakeholder Management**
- Build and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships for the purpose of expectations management, knowledge sharing and integration, and to manage the organisation’s reputation.
- Represent and participate in the organisation’s committees and tasks teams when required.
- Convene and attend meetings and present relevant information stakeholders when required.
- Ensure the provision of excellent customer service.
- Resolve queries and problems within span of control and within agreed time frames.
- Follow up on unresolved queries and complaints where required.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders regarding follow-up of information, as required for tender requests.
- Manage internal and external relationships to ensure that ICT Security best practices are implemented across the organisation.
