RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced **QUALITY ASSURANCE / QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER (FOOD INDUSTRY) **for a well-established, growing KwaZulu-Natal concern - position based in **Pinetown area, KwaZulu-Natal.**

**PERSON MUST BE ABLE TO START IMMEDIATELY**

JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12.

Relevant qualification/s.

Able to speak, read and write English competently.

Previous working experience in the food industry is ESSENTIAL.

Overseeing approximately forty factory workers.

Maintenance of food safety standards in the warehouse.

Maintain documentation and verification i.e. paper vs actual on the floor.

Conduct supplier audits when necessary.

Ensure organisation is prepared for external audits.

Complete supplier questionnaires.

Managing of non-conformances and customer complaints.

Raising of non-conformances and close offs.

Effective communication to all departments with regards to any update to the food safety standards.

Housekeeping - maintain the ‘clean as you go’ principle.

Implementation of GMP’s.

Maintenance - ensure the maintenance schedule is followed and maintenance records are completed.

Occupational health and safety procedures - as part of the health and safety team, ensure all rules are implemented and followed.
