Groundsman

We looking for a hardworker Groundsman to provide upkeep and maintenance services in and around our client Training & Development Centre.

**Duties**:

- Perform basic Do It Yourself (DIY) Electrical work, Plumbing and Carpentry.
- Paint surfaces. Clean gutters. Remove and replace locks on all types of doors. Replace tiles.
- Mount First Aid Boxes.
- Maintain garden equipment.
- Replace broke window glass.
- Dispose of electrical waste in line with relevant OHS prescripts.
- Daily sweeping of grounds around the Training & Development Centre.
- Maintain the garden by removing weeds, cutting of grass, making of beds, pruning trees, trimming edges, watering the garden.
- Empty rubbish in main Refuse Bin at FFennell Depot and cleaning of Dustbins.
- Keep and update inventory register of the tools of trade at all times.
- Maintain appropriate housekeeping in storerooms and filing rooms.
- Ensure that inventory in storerooms and filing room is not moved around without written permission from the Training & Development Manager.
- Ensure that health and safety measures are observed.
- Conduct risk assessment before performing any task.
- Ensure that all safety incidents, accidents and near misses are reported immediately to the OHS Representative and direct supervisor in the stipulated time frame.

**Qualification**:

- Grade 9
- At least one-year experience as a general worker in facilities maintenance and repair

**Job Type**: Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: R11,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Facilities maintenance and repairs: 3 years (required)
