Howden South Africa Division is looking for an experienced EHS Coordinator to ensure that the customer sites where Howden performs maintenance and installations, comply with SHE standards (internal, client standards and statutory compliance).

**_What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be _**

**What needs to be done?**
- Accountable for EHS on the various Maintenance and GO sites to ensure Howden complies legally and with its own internal procedures.
- Responsible for the safety administration and do job observations and recording of safety requests/complaints/ near misses and do investigation on all incidents.
- Accountable for the roll out of all safety requirements to sites and giving feedback about roll out to ensure we comply to our internal safety requirements
- Conduct audits on subcontractors before allowing them onto site, as to determine the level of compliance and suggest corrective action and implementation of action to ensure we compile with our and customer requirements.
- Assessing of risk on sites and writing of risk assessments and written safe work procedures to enable work to be done
- SOX Compliance: Adhere to Sarbanes Oxley and AX controls

**_Your Education Should Be _**
- Grade 12
- Safety Management Diploma
- SAMTRAC
- ISO 45001 certified will be an additional advantage
- ISO 9000 Safety and quality certified will be an additional advantage
- ISO14000 environmental certified
- OHSAS 18001 certified

**_Your Professional Experience Should Be _**
- 5 years’ experience in a similar position
- Incident and Accident investigation course
- HIRA course
- Basic SHE audit course
- Extensive SHE exposure in industrial or manufacturing environment
- Microsoft office experience
