Overberg Water is a Water Board established in terms of section 28 of Water Services Act, (No 108 of 1997) and is classified as Government Business Enterprise as per Schedule 3B of the Public Finance Management Act (No. 1 of 1999) as amended.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Matric certificate.
- A National Diploma /Degree NQF 6 in Information Systems/Technology/Computer science qualification or equivalent in ICT and 1 - 3 years’ experience in ICT / Information Technology, computer literacy and driver’s license (Code B) is required
- Computer literacy

**DUTIES**:

- 1st and 2nd line technical support, ICT. helpdesk-services.
- 1st and 2nd line server support (Monitor network-uptime, bandwidth, latency; manage-server-permissions/-security)
- Backup administrator
- Co-ordinate and liaise with 3rd line. vendors/external service provider regarding the ICT infrastructure.
- Exchange/ Office 365 administrator, Monitor, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve problems.
- Administer-security systems (Active. directory, biometric access
- system, firewall, antivirus, proxy server, etc.)
- Monitoring and control of ICT.

- Provide-orientation and guidance to-users. on-how-to-operate-new-software and computer equipment's
- Organize and-schedule upgrades and maintenance.
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems.
- Desktop support in a Microsoft environment including hardware, software, and printer both on-site and remotely allocated.
- Manage information technology and computer systems to support all business operations.
- Develop, implement, and manage an IT Helpdesk system.

- Responsible for maintaining the ERP and related services, database maintenance, user accounts, and other related systems.
- Ensure that reliable performance of ERP system, assist users in all aspects of ERP system Use installation, Troubleshoots, and resolves any ERP related hardware, software, user access or other problems.
- Monitors ERP system performance and usage to maintain security and reliability.
- Monitor the ERP System daily and respond immediately to security, usability concerns and resolve help desk requests.
