Decoration Buyer

**Our client, a leading manufacturer in the FMCG sector with a national footprint, is looking for a planner/buyer for their packaging. The successful applicant for this exciting but exacting position will have**:

- **Supply Chain or commercial degree or diploma**;
- **1 - 3 years procurement experience**/exposure essential;
- **Advanced Excel and Microsoft office**;
- **Strong numeracy and planning skills**;
- **Planning and buying experience in manufacturing, packaging, or retail**;
**Duties will include**:

- Identify and expedite all decoration requirements for products in both on-site and off-site production facilities;
- Issue daily schedules for raw material requirements, monitoring of slow-moving or dead stock, and updating decorating stock for both customer and sales team;
- Management of pricing with various decoration suppliers and relevant sales representatives;
- Maintenance and management of decoration back-order report;
- Management of quality incidents with supplier (defective stock, color variations, etc.);
- Management of artwork changeovers (depletion of old artwork before new) and artwork file and register;
- Monitoring monthly stock levels in line with business parameters;
- Advising Production and Planners of any exceptions that may be necessary for new product;
- Supplier OTIF reporting.

**Salary**: R19,000.00 - R20,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
