House Manageress

An opportunity presents itself for a House Manageress (aged between 25 - 30) to join this family with a very busy lifestyle, situated along the Atlantic Seaboard of Cape Town.

**Requirements**:

- Matric / Grade 12
- Have 5 or more years of experience working as a House Manager with extensive experience with children ages 4 - 15 yrs
- Have completed a SETA-approved first aid course (minimum of level 1, valid for 3 years) and regularly update this.
- An early childhood development course, Montessori or EduCare course, Bachelor of Education, psychology, language, art, sport or music-related degree will be preferable
- Passionate about working with children as well as loving, patient, and nurturing personality
- Highly organized and able to handle a busy schedule
- Teach the children the importance of a healthy lifestyle and nutrition
- Compile and stick to children’s weekly schedules which include but are not limited to school, extra-mural activities, tutoring, etc
- Safety must be your main priority
- You need to be flexible to change working schedules on short notice to suit the family’s needs
- Be able to live-in
- Good command of the English language to assist with homework as tutoring will also be involved
- Must be reliable and trustworthy
- Must have excellent communication skills to eliminate any misunderstandings in the household.
- Understands social etiquette and formal service
- Performs light housekeeping duties
- Coordinates with other staff as needed as well as with other parts of the company
- Be able to and have excellent knowledge of:

- _ Cleaning and maintenance. _
- _ Care of clothing._
- _ Broad knowledge of household items and their care_
- _ Problem-solving and “get it done” attitude_
- _ Very “hands-on” and ready to pitch in_
- _ Very resourceful, quickly learns how and where to get things done in the local area_
- Have a valid driver's license
- Clear criminal record
