Warehouse Supervisor

We are currently seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to join our team as a **Warehouse Supervisor** for our Dry Goods/ Production department.

As the Warehouse Supervisor you will report directly to the Warehouse Manager and will be responsible for overseeing various tasks related to dry goods and production operations and ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the warehouse. This is a crucial role that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee pickings, receiving, and dispatch of all dry goods with accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct quality control checks and double-checks for all receiving and dispatch of dry goods.
- Ensure pallet and picking efficiency to optimize productivity and minimize errors.
- Conduct regular stock takes of all dry goods and perform quality control checks on stock takes.
- Oversee and manage the dry goods and production teams/staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Delegate dry goods sales orders and effectively communicate tasks to the team.
- Monitor production planning and tasks to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Manage and coordinate the production teams, ensuring smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
- Take benchmarks of reworks and report on performance.
- Enforce safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- Perform regular physical checks in the production and dry goods warehouse to identify any issues or discrepancies.
- Report on reworks, provide feedback, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Monitor the WMS Dashboard for real-time updates and address any issues promptly.
- Create and delegate reworks, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to guidelines.
- Design and print stickers for labelling purposes.
- Monitor and report on damages and incorrectly stored goods in the Production and dry goods Warehouse.
- Demonstrate independent problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.
- Perform dry goods put-away tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Liaise with dry goods suppliers to maintain strong relationships and ensure timely deliveries.
- Ensure accuracy and correctness of all billing-related documents.
- Check product locations in the DG/Production area and maintain proper organization.
- Collaborate with 3rd party suppliers to address any equipment-related issues.
- Generate and analyze stock reports for the DG and Production departments.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of previous experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management principles and practices.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R9,000.00 - R15,000.00 per month

**Experience**:

- Warehouse Operations in a supervisory or team lead role: 5 years (preferred)
