Our company seeks to employ highly skilled and experienced Brush Hand Painters who are well rounded individuals, who takes pride in their quality of work and cares for delivering excellent customer service.

**Job requirements**

The requirements for this position:

- Registered at the BIBC
- 3-5 years of proven experience.

Your roles and duties will entail but are not limited to the following:

- Communicating with clients to determine their painting requirements and helping them make the best decisions for their projects.
- Covering trim, floors, furniture and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint.
- Preparing surfaces to be painted by washing them, filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding them until they’re smooth.
- Leadership skills.
- Able to take initiative.
- Is proficient in the painting trade and can plan & execute the trade works timeously on your own without supervision while maintaining NHBRC quality standards, building codes, laws & regulations.
- Is responsible for the quality of the works and the performance of the team on site. Is responsible for customer care on site and for clear communication with the project team in order to bring the project to completion on time.
- Is knowledgeable in calculating materials required as well as Site Planning & Health & Safety. Is responsible for upholding the admin required by Ops & Payroll.
- Maintain accurate records/ documentation associated with your work.
- Report to Line Manager. Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation and/or its clients/customers to Line Manager.
- Has a driver's license & can get his team to & from site. Ensure compliance to agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety. Meet your targets and contribute to those of the team as a whole.
- Contributes towards the smooth running of the team. Adhere to all organisation policies and procedures. Must assess your assistant's performance & hold him accountable

- Electing the correct tools and paints for projects
- Preparing walls and other surfaces before painting
- Covering exposed objects and surface
- Good Color vision and aesthetic instincts
- Attention to detail
- Time Management skills to ensure tasks are completed on schedule
- Painter use paint, tools, and materials such as plaster, to change the appearance and texture of buildings

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temp to perm
Part-time hours: 42.5 per week
