Bendi Operator

**Position**:Bendi Operator

**Reporting to**: Warehouse Supervisor

**Location**: Montague Gardens, Bolt Warehouse

**Purpose and Objectives**

Operates Bendi and using scanner where appropriate is responsible for the safe and accurate moving of stock either from trucks ex Suppliers to warehouse or from warehouse to delivery vehicles. Carries out stacking procedures in the operational areas as required.

**Key Performance Areas**
- Offloads materials/pallets from delivery vehicles into receiving area.
- Loading of vehicles 3rd party and Woolworths orders.
- Ensure daily put-away is done.
- Assist pickers with drops when picking orders
- Performs daily and weekly inspection of Bendi as per checklist and recharges or refuels as appropriate.
- Assists with routine maintenance and hygiene procedures where the use of a Bendi is required.
- Assists with cycle counts and monthly stock counts.

**Key Job Functions**
- Execute daily put-away of stock into bins/racks
- Assist with dropping of pallets for pickers when needed.
- Assist with loading of trucks when required.
- Receiving inbound - offloading of trucks and complete physical check on the load, check the pallet ID, line number, product description, batch code, quantity and expiry date matches receiving document. Reports any discrepancies to supervisor.
- Performs ad-hoc stock movements as directed by supervisor and as appropriate confirms all actions on scanner.
- Ensures that damaged stock is reported to supervisor.
- Checks condition of pallets and rejects those, which are damaged or otherwise unsuitable for use.
- Assist with loading of 3rd party orders/trucks\
- Verifies operational fitness of Bendi by inspection and complete checklist and reports any problems to superior.
- Arranges recharge of batteries or refueling.
- Movement of receiving area into storage bins via RF scanner, verifying and confirming on scanner. Reports any discrepancies to supervisor.
- Movement of stock into loading bays via RF scanner, verifying and confirming on scanner. Reports any discrepancies to supervisor.
- Put away of stock in designated area.
- System driven stock movements using RF scanner for case and full pallet picking.
- Participate in Daily cycle counts and Monthly stock Counts
- Will be required to drive a Bendi
- Adherence to Food safety requirements

**Knowledge and Experience Required**
- Matric / Grade 12
- Experience on Syspro/WMS would be advantageous.
- Experience in FMCG / Food industry would be an advantage.
- Valid Bendi driver’s license

**Salary**: R5,000.00 - R7,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Montague Gardens, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
