- Senior Power BI Specialist

Exciting new opportunity for a seasoned Power BI Developer who is passionate about developing and maintaining BI Dashboards and Interfaces within a dynamic and agile project environment.

The Senior Power BI Specialist is responsible for building, analyzing, enhancing, and supporting best in class, project management focused dashboard reporting and analytics. This position provides a great opportunity to work as part of dynamic team and make real impact in the company.

**Key Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Diploma in IT preferred or equivalent
combination of education, training, and experience
- At least 5-6+ years of direct work experience as a software developer, specializing in
Power BI development.
- Proven historical experience as a Power BI Developer
- Project Management and or Engineering Services industry experience is advantageous.
- Detailed knowledge of BI technologies (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI)
- Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server
Integration Services (SSIS)
- Experienced in data modelling and data analytics including harmonization of data
between platforms.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining integrated information delivery
systems.
- Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude

**Responsibilities**
- Designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions
- Technical leadership
- Ensure compliance with all architecture disciplines.
- Act across business functions within your role
- Provide guidance on best practice.
- Produces complex program specifications and implements system enhancements.
- Crafting and executing queries upon request for data
- Presenting information through reports and visualization
- Translate business needs to technical specifications.
- Design, build and deploy Power BI solutions.
- Maintain and support data analytics platforms.
- Data storage
- Risk and change management
- Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
- Evaluate and improve existing BI Solutions
- Collaborate with teams to integrate systems.
- Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses.
- Create visualizations and reports for requested projects.
- Develop and update technical documentation.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

This position will be based at the Rosebank Head Office; flexible working arrangements will be available.

This will be a long-term contract (approximately 24 months)
