RESPONSIBILITIES

At all times ensure that all work related to refractory installation and/or monitoring is in line with the required quality standard.

It will remain critical for the Technician to adhere to; relevant principles; refractory, metallurgy, safety, quality, trouble shooting and also taking agile corrective action around vessel failure.

Key to success is effective contractor liaison associated with coaching/training team members, accurate and summary reporting.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
Our ideal incumbent must have extensive skills and knowledge of; refractory installation, have sound understanding of OSHACT, quality and environmental standards. Compatibility to the Steelplant environment is critical;

must be physically fit to work shift, comfortable to work in an environment with extreme heat, dust, noise and heights.

To be successful the incumbent must have the following skills and ability; must be computer literate, have good communication, good planning and organising skills and also have the ability to; coach and monitor diverse teams within the Business Unit, cope well under pressured situations with high attention to details.
