**Overall, Role Purpose**

To manage compliance and regulatory risk. Ensure appropriate policies, procedures, systems, controls, processes, and training are in place and provide guidance to staff on compliance and Client Due Diligence matters.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage compliance monitoring programme.
- Update Risk Committee of relevant regulatory risks
- Conduct employee compliance/AML training.
- Ensuring appropriate compliance and risk controls are in place.
- Escalate issues to the Risk Manager

**General Duties**:

- Undertake the compliance monitoring programme, advising the Risk Manager of any findings, updating the tests where appropriate
- Ensure all compliance-owned registers are kept up to date e.g., PEP register, complaints, gifts and entertainment, sanctions, breaches etc
- Receive, review, investigate and, if appropriate, externalise internal Suspicious Activity Reports
- Roll out online AML training to all new employees
- Keep updated with relevant regulatory news.
- Ensure that all regulatory changes are reviewed, and the impact notified to the Risk Manager and Risk Team.
- Recommend any changes to operating procedures as required considering regulation or procedural changes and when required provide input into the development of new operating procedures
- Report to the Risk Team as required by the Terms of Reference and assist in the investigation of any suspected breaches of legal or regulatory requirements or internal compliance policies and standards
- Be the first point of contact on compliance and CDD issues and queries and provide support to the Risk Manager in other jurisdictions
- Exceptions, Approved Introducers, CDD training etc
- Conduct regular, effective training (and updates as necessary) to ensure that partners, directors, and staff are aware of and understand the requirements of relevant legislation, Compliance Policies and Procedures.
- Provide support to the Group Compliance Manager. Professional Qualifications/ Education Level

**Essential**:

- In possession of or studying for a relevant ICA professional qualification.
- Ability to work without supervision.
- Efficient and well-organised.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Credible and assertive manner.
- Discretion, tact, and resilience.
- Professional manner with the ability to influence and persuade
- Compliance experience, minimum three years
- Expertise in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

**Location**:

- Woodmead, Sandton

**Salary**:

- R25 000 ( + up to 30% incentive)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to R30,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sandton, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
