The kitchen assistant is responsible for the daily production and handling of Ou Meul product ie. Stock items and menu items to customers. You are responsible for following recipes and making sure that our customers get amazing Ou Meul food every time. You should take pride in the ingredients you work with and the space you work in and keep it clean and tidy.

**List of Responsibilities & duties, including but not limited to**:

- Making sure that the food is prepared to Ou Meul standards
- Following recipes and procedures
- Ensuring food is prepared without wastage.
- Ensuring food orders prepared on time.
- Ensuring stock is checked, signed and stored correctly.
- Ensuring personal hygiene.
- Ensuring kitchen safety.
- Ensuring kitchen hygiene.
- Ensuring equipment is clean.
- Ensuring knives are kept sharp.
- Ensuring first aid procedures are adhered to.
- Ensuring accidents or relevant incidents are reported to management.
- Cleaning as you go
- Working as a team to make sure tasks are done

**Requirements**:

- Minimal experience in a kitchen environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Dedication to provide exceptional customer service.

**Salary**: R25.42 per hour

**Experience**:

- food handling: 1 year (preferred)
